about

On the anticipated follow up to his acclaimed 2006 Wrong Galaxy 12”, Shit Robot (Marcus Lambkin) once again demonstrates his keen ability to create dance tracks that are both deceptively simple and instantly gratifying.

In the epic A-side "Chasm," Lambkin masterfully joins relentless, brooding techno which builds patiently with underlying melodic rock grooves. The result is a dance track that is both innovative and immediately familiar.
The flip side, appropriately named "Lonely Planet," is a galactic krautrock adventure through whirling synths into the unknown.

Lambkin, who grew up in Ireland, spent several years DJ’ing in New York--where he met friends and cohorts James Murphy & Tim Goldsworthy of the DFA--before moving to his current home of Stuttgart, Germany. After touring the world while relentlessly DJ’ing and returning home in between gigs to record in his new home studio, Marcus Lambkin finally unleashes his second set of bold and anthemic dance floor treasures.
